Social trip to Liverpool
Join us on Monday 29 December 2025, for our “Twixtmas” trip to Liverpool
A list of suggested pubs, with links to the CAMRA Pub database, is below. The order is based on the logical layout if starting from Lime Street (though you will need a strong constitution to visit them all!)
For those starting in Wigan, we meet at either Wigan Central or Swan & Railway with a view to catching the 12:47 train from Wigan North Western to Lime Street
Once in Liverpool we make our way to the Ship & Mitre and start from there.
Georgian/Cathedral “Quarter”
This list could also start with the Vines (Big House) as you have to pass it on your way from the station. Worth seeing even if you don’t stop for a beer as the interior is rather historic. This pub was revitalised recently by the 1936 Pub Company, who have also recently revamped many on the list below.
