CLAY BROW NANO BREWERY
Still got a couple of new beers to brew this month, which were mentioned on last month’s update. I have been kept busy with my bottle turnover so will be brewing those when I get chance.
Fingers crossed I should be launching Papa P’s Kopi Luwak Coffee Stout (8.5%) on Thursday 6th June. I have got another NEIPA/DIPA planned for Clay Brows 2nd Birthday in July, and if all goes to plan CatHop should be getting their 4 day licence again so I can get it on cask there. Zulu Version 3 has gone down well, and I am made up with how the introduction of Amarillo hops has worked in this version.
Bottled beers are now out of stock so a new batch will need to be bottled soon. A new beer, Wolf (4% abv) pale ale is due out tomorrow, brewed with Slovenian Wolf and Dragon hops. Jammie Dodger, a 5% abv pale ale is to be brewed shortly. There has been good feedback on recent new brews. There will be a beer festival held at the Twisted Vine to coincide with Cask Ale week and Wigan Beer week.
MARTLAND MILL BREWERY
Trade remains good and steady at Martland Mill with the sale of the Brewery continuing to go through. The 75th Anniversary of D Day has led to a huge demand for D-Day Dodger whilst “Mild May” has also raised the awareness and sales of darker beers.
Two new fermenting vessels have been ordered. Lemonhead has been brewed for summer and a new beer, Helios, a 4% abv hoppy pale will be brewed soon.
PROBLEM CHILD BREWERY
‘Dirty Beer’ is to be casked on Friday. An unfined beer, American IPA (4% abv) was casked last Friday. Sales are a bit of a challenge at present. A beer festival will be held at the Wayfarer later in the summer to coincide with the Parbold village festival.
WILY FOX BREWERY
Our special summer beer Molten Gold is out this week. It’s 4.3%, a Golden, quadruple hopped beer, using the Cascade hop. Grapefruit and lychee character on both aroma and palate, summer in a glass!
Sales are great and continuing to grow, we are brewing more than ever. Keg beer is performing well, especially Uberlegen 4.4% Craft Pilsner.
We are also making improvements to the Brewery and our system to maximise efficiency and production, this is an ongoing process for us to constantly grow and get better!
We are currently brewing a brand new beer for cask, using hops that are brand new to us! Will be able to tell more in the next report.
