We are pleased to be awarded Best New Cask Ale Outlet and Cider Pub of the Year runner up. Thanks to everyone who voted for us and our wonderful and friendly staff and customers. We will continue to push forward and improve our offer.

We would like to start by saying thanks to Jules for all she has done as our BLO and we understand that her commitments at this time have meant that she has had to step down. Moving forward we are happy to welcome Andy on board and love the enthusiasm he has already brought to the role. Martland Mill looks forward to working closely with him in the near future. Sales have continued to do well over Christmas and New Year period and we are looking to expand the barrel swaps that we do with different breweries in the coming months. Even through the brewery is up for sale (and has gathered a lot of interest), we are still committed to producing the traditional English real alesw that we have a reputation for. We are at the moment in the process of developing a new beer. This will be showcased at the CAMRA meeting at the Tap’n’Barrel on 13th March. As a thank you to the support CAMRA has shown us we are giving a free pint to all members (with their CAMRA card), of our new beer at this branch meeting. Food will also be available at this meeting.

In the fermenters at the moment are Wigan Bier and Swinley Gold.Amber Inns are taking Mayflower beers on trial with a view to signing up to a regular contract to supply them.
