Real ale not normally available but will be provided upon request for functions. Set in the heart of Wigan, The Bellingham Hotel was originally five Victorian terraced houses, which were, over the years gradually transformed into the Hotel that we see today. There is a large car park at the rear with steps leading into the hotel reception or a path and smaller door into the main lounge. The pub’s main bar is in the lounge where there are sofas to relax whilst drinking. Near reception is a large events room that can be hired for parties/weddings. Fully fitted Disabled WC and baby changing facilities.

BLUNDELL’S CAFE BAR : 90 Wigan Lane, Wigan, WN1 2LF. 07810-396736.
Situated just off the main road with reasonable parking outside and in adjacent side streets, this is a quiet haven for a pint of local ales or a fine coffee, with simple snacks. It’s cream modern furniture and tables are very comfortable, making this a perfect place for a family snack or a chin-wag with pals. One wall has an impressive mural of a Venice canal, and other walls have a varied range of interesting posters and pictures, and often candle-lit in the evenings. Small family sized functions are usually held on Monday through Wednesdays.

Guest ales change frequently at this popular pub. Bands play music at the weekend. There are two well-appointed lounges. The large beer garden at the rear can get busy in the summer and this is a favourite pub of the local football fans on matchdays. Daily newspapers are provided, and they have a local darts and domino team. There is also a function room available for hire.

Pub in The Good Beer Guide several times. In a residential area just 15 minutes walk from the town centre, the Brocket is also a Wetherlodge. The interior is large, open plan with two bars and intimate booths. Two conference rooms are available for private hire. Guest beers are always featured. In addition to the usual Wetherspoon menu there is a popular Sunday carvery. There is a patio area to the front with benches and cover for smokers. Fundraising events are often held for various charities.

That rarest of rare birds – an open-plan pub restored to two rooms. One section has a raised area for karaoke and other ‘turns’. The other area is like a vault with dartboard, pool table, and a slate hearth fireplace. Small attractive beer garden at the back, with smoking area. Has covered areas for use as possible stage and or bar, there are plenty of seats & tables. Can be boisterous at weekends. Thursday is pool night with the team playing World Rules pool in Wigan Pool League. Friday & Saturday karaoke, Sundays often has live acts with top acts from around the area. and the local football team meets.

The Millstone is a modern pub with a conservatory extension but has a traditional feel. There is a beer garden to the rear and a sheltered smoking area. Five TVs throughout the premises show sporting events. Two beers from the Thwaites range are served and usually one local ale, plus a range of bottled continental beers. The pub gets busy at weekends and when Wigan rugby and football teams are playing. Also sells Kingston Press cider, Konig Ludwig Dunkel and Kaltenborg on tap. Pleasant venue which shows a lot of sports.

A fantastic range of bottled and canned beers from across the world. There just has to be something that suits your pallet… just ask. There are plans to open as a micro bar in the near future. Check Facebook or ring for opening hours – they are a little ‘flexible’ at the moment.

CAMRA Club of the Year 2014. With its large concert room and stage, two bars and games room, ‘The Swinley’ has everything you need for a perfect evening’s entertainment. ‘The Swinley’ has parking facilities and is conveniently situated within walking distance of Wigan town centre. There’s guaranteed entertainment with artists and comedians on Friday and Saturday night. In addition, they host a very successful Soul afternoon on the first Sunday of every month. Note: Although this is a club, it has a public bar area.
