HOPHURST BREWERY
Milk Shake IPA (4.5% abv) is out next week. Jammie Dodger Pale Ale is out but nearly all gone. Stuart is meeting with Them That Can to arrange to can some beers in 440ml cans. It is hoped to brew two collaborative beers, with the John Bull and with Kore in connection with Wigan Beer Week.

Upcoming events at the Twisted Vine include Beer Club on 16th July (almost full), Cheese & Wine evening on 1st July, Beer Club on 7th September – linked to Wigan Beer Week and a beer festival from 20th to 25th September.

MARTLAND MILL BREWERY
The sale of the brewery is still going through with the interested parties. Rest assured that, once complete, the new owners will take Martland Mill Brewery to the next level!

Paul is brewing three days a week as sales remain good and will withdraw from the business once it’s sold. Trade at the Tap ‘n’ Barrel is good compared to previous years.

MAYFLOWER BREWERY
All six fermenting vessels are now in use and the brewery is working to capacity.

PROBLEM CHILD BREWERY
Making steady progress but no specific new developments to report.

PROSPECT BREWERY
The brewery sale has been completed with effect from 1st July and Prospect Brewery is now completely separate from Prospect Inns so Roy is not sourcing beers for Wigan Central which is now done by Patsy and John. The new owner has another business and so far wants to keep the sale low key. The day-to-day brewery operations have been left to continue unchanged, managed by the current staff with the owner touching base weekly.

WILY FOX BREWERY
Juno is our latest new beer, a 3.9% copper coloured ale, made from Barb Rouge and Eureka hops. Giving a fresh, summer taste leaving a lovely bitterness on the palette.

We are very excited to be supplying Albert’s at Standish, which is due to open on Friday 12th July. We’ve installed four keg lines for Dublin Up, The Fox Hat, Prohibition APA and Karma Citra, it’s wonderful to supplying such a great venue.

We are brewing Dark Flagon due to popular demand. We wouldn’t usually brew DF at this point of the year but we’ve been asked for it so may times, we felt we should!

We are very pleased to have passed our SALA accreditation today, buzzing!!!
