Dunscar Bridge Brewery goes into administration

Standard

Dunscar Bridge Brewery, based on the outskirts of Bolton, have ceased trading and gone into administration.

The brewery was formed in 2009 as a small 3.5 brewers’ barrel plant in the Brewhouse pub in Dunscar Bridge. In 2017, a new brewing plant was sourced and installed nearby in the former Dunscar Bridge textile processing works. The new brewery had approximately ten times the capacity of the old one at 27.5 brewers barrel. By 2015 the brewery was owned by a combination of family members and best mates.

It’s always sad when a brewery with a long tradition falls upon hard times.
